GHASSAN G. KHALIL has more than twenty years of significant experience in advancing social justice and human development in more than 40 countries and in various capacities, which include senior positions with governments, NGO’s, United Nations Organization and as an independent senior consultant and trainer of trainers. Mr. Khalil’s work has been focused on promoting human rights, social policy, legal reform, cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue, with extensive experience in strengthening women’s and children’s protection systems, including in post conflict situations. His extensive experience includes research, policy development, strategic planning, training and lecturing in many universities and higher schools of magistracy. He has published, as author or co-author, more than 20 books and research papers, and published numerous articles in international professional journals. Mr. KHALIL has been an advisor for many governments and senior consultant for international organizations, including UN Agencies, including UNICEF, UNESCO and ILO.

Dr. Khalil is an expert in competency-based education, in training methodologies to which he applies a results-based planning approach, and in curriculum design. He has excellent communication skills (spoken, written and presentational) in Arabic (mother tongue), English and French.

GHASSAN G. KHALIL holds a PhD in International law from Paris-Sorbonne University. Dr KHALIL has earned also a Master degree in Law from the faculty of law of Lebanese University and attended Columbia University’s (NY) graduate school of International and Public Affairs. He received numerous awards from different governments, NGOs and academic institutions.
